About Me
I am a licensed professional counselor and I love to come alongside my clients as they navigate difficult life seasons and circumstances. My clients come with a wide range of challenges, but they tend to fall into three categories: those struggling with anxiety and depression, adolescents figuring out their place and identify, and those processing life transitions.
Navigating Anxiety and Depression
I believe that feelings of anxiety and depression are part of the human experience. Unfortunately, these challenges can make it difficult for us to live in connection with ourselves and others. I help my clients explore thoughts and emotions with renewed courage and compassion. I use a variety of techniques to assist my clients in developing a new relationship to anxiety and depression so that ultimately, they are able to live with more joy and connection.
Helping Adolescents Thrive
I have several years of experience working as a teacher, coach, and counselor for teens. There is nothing I love more than watching young people try their very best at hard things, and it's my goal to help them discover their own potential to do so. I use a variety of techniques in working with teens, both directive and non-directive. I am well-acquainted with the unique challenges of working with adolescents and I strive to be a supportive adult to help teens and their families navigate family changes, depression, and anxiety.
Processing Life Transitions
I love to help my clients process changes within their lives, both in their internal world and in external circumstances. Often, this requires honest reflection and an openness to grief. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for my clients to process life changes and help them live in congruence with their values as these changes unfold.
I am inspired every day by the bravery and vulnerability of my clients, and it is my goal to help my clients practice this same courage outside of session in order to find the support and connection we all need in order to change.
